Telecenter® V
is designed to help administrators work smarter instead of
harder. It satisfies school telephone system requirements plus
it performs an extensive range of internal communications functions. |
State-of-the-art microcomputer circuitry
makes Telecenter V both flexible and expandable.
Digital Readout
Call Display
Telecenter V has a digital readout
display. Incoming calls are stored and displayed (displays three
calls at a time) in the order received. Call-ins are preceded by
a tone alert. Emergency call-ins take precedence on the display and
the emergency tone is distinct from the normal tone alert. When not
in use, time and date are displayed.

Call-ins
Sometimes they're routine. Sometimes
they're much more - a classroom emergency or injured student...
Sometimes they come during school hours. Sometimes not; your facility
is in use at all hours and on the weekends.
No second thoughts - flexibility and automatic
call routing - Telecenter ICS finds help or assistance for you. You
don't need busy signals or complicated dialing codes. You do need
to know your call will always be answered as quickly as possible.
-
Multiple call levels (Normal,
Emergency, etc.) and the ability to upgrade on the fly. At
the classroom, the teacher can determine what type of assistance
they need and place the appropriate level of call.
-
Call priority sorting and stacking At
the front office or wherever calls are answered, calls display
by the type of call and time of placement. The oldest calls
and emergency calls are always displayed and answered first.
-
Automatic call forwarding -
If the secretary has stepped away from her desk or is already
on the phone, Telecenter ICS automatically forwards your call
to the next person who can assist.
-
Visual and audible identification -
Calls from classrooms and other areas display their location
information on strategically positioned displays and/or sound
call reminder tones over selected speakers.
- Announce calls - Telecenter
ICS can announce the room number and call priority over
designated speaker(s) in your facility: "emergency
call room two, three, three."
- After hours call routing - When
no one is in the office to answer calls after regular
school hours, Telecenter ICS can automatically pick up
an outside telephone line and route calls to any telephone,
including an off-site security office.

Paging
Life at school... It's full of announcements:
sometimes everyone needs to hear. Other times, only select groups.
-
Direct pages to all or select
speakers - Corridors,
gyms, playgrounds, 1st floor classrooms; up to sixteen unique
groups of speakers.
-
Page from anywhere - Paging
via designated office phones, a centrally located microphone,
OR any classroom telephone with the use of a PIN number.
-
One touch microphone emergency
or all page - No second
guessing in an emergency; press one button and you have paging
throughout the entire school.
Intercom
It's still the most efficient way to reach out to the teacher.
With Telecenter ICS, intercom functions are hands-free from anywhere
within the classroom - a nearly transparent way for front office
personnel to communicate with the classroom teacher.
-
Strategically mounted (Wall
or ceiling) intercom/paging speakers.
-
Hands-free - No
need to disrupt class to walk to a phone - simply respond from
anywhere within the classroom.
-
Always clear communication
- A large 8" high power speaker/ microphone covers the
whole classroom, unlike a speakerphone that requires you to
be within several feet of the speakerphone to communicate.
-
Telephone or switch panel control
- Some people like to
use their telephones for all school communication, while others
prefer a more traditional switch panel for intercom and paging.
Telecenter ICS gives you both options.
Music & Program Distribution
The "Star Spangled Banner" in
all classrooms. The school anthem during class changes. It's music
you want from any source - radio, CD and cassette tapes.
-
Automatic or manual music & program
delivery to all or select speakers.
-
Distribute music on the fly - Simply
cue up your music and then tell Telecenter ICS where to send
it.
-
Dial-up or switch panel - Some
people like to use their telephones to instruct Telecenter ICS
where to send music, while other people like a more traditional
switch panel. Telecenter ICS gives you both options.
-
Compatibility with
any common music source (radios, CD players, tape players).
